OMRH Receives 2019 TCA Grant

Our Mims Retirement Haven in Paris, Ky is proud to announce receipt of a grant from Thoroughbred Charities of America. 

This is the ninth year in a row that Thoroughbred Charities of America has recognized OMRH in providing qualified retirement for aged mares. 

“Being recognized by the TCA for all our hard work reaffirms our special place in the Thoroughbred industry,” said Jeanne Mirabito, founder and President of OMRH. “All of our TCA funding has been directed to facility improvements. The TCA has not only helped us keep our horses more comfortable, they have helped us grow into a tourist attraction focusing on the beauty of Bourbon County, Ky.”

“We are thrilled and honored to receive this grant from TCA and we are looking forward to putting it to good use improving our facility,” Said OMRH Vice President Laura Fallis.

Since 1999 OMRH has provided forever homes for aged mares and a few lucky geldings. OMRH achieved non profit charity status in May of 2007 and has housed many famous and not so famous horses over the years. To learn more about OMRH, please visit www.ourmims.org
