01 Jun New Lady My Trusty Cat arrives at The Haven!

Our Mims Retirement Haven is proud to announce the arrival of My Trusty Cat on June 1, 2023.  She is a beautiful bay graded stakes winning mare who just turned 23 years-old on April 10, 2023.  She is sired by Tale of the Cat (Storm Cat) and out of the Private Account mare, Entrusted.  In 32 races, she amassed a whopping $902,753 for her then-owner Carl Pollard.  Spending 3 years on the track she won Grade 3, Grade 2 and Grade 1 races.  She also has a black-type stakes race named in her honor at Delta Downs, the My Trusty Cat Stakes, a $100,000 race for 2-year-old fillies on the dirt.

My Trusty Cat has had 9 foals by some amazing sires:  AP Indy, Tapit, Malibu Moon, Street Cry, Tiznow, Congrats, Tapizar……. Her last foal listed was a filly born in 2019.

She has been residing at Winchester Farm, Lexington, KY since 2018 and arrived there from the Keeneland Sale in foal to Anchor Down.  She was retired from her broodmare career in 2021, and was graciously donated to OMRH by her owner Aaron Sones.

Once her intake is complete, she will be turned out to join the rest of the Ladies of the Haven where she will roll in the bluegrass and relish in the love and adoration of her new fans.
