I always called myself the “other” Jeanie when we talked on FB. Visiting Our Mims and meeting Jeanne was something I will never forget. She was such a blessing to the horses that we’re lucky enough to call Our Mims home. Deepest condolences to her family and friends and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Jeanne Mirabito was a beautiful soul that graced earth at a time when her chosen path was desperately needed. I was fortunate to be part of helping her raise funds for Our Mims headstone at Calumet, via the high bid on the auction of a Ruffian Match Race “win ticket”, on Ruffian to win. I pray those that love(d) and admired Jeanne, will carry on the legacy and sanctuary for as many beautiful senior mares as space, funds and teamwork will allow.

My deepest condolences to her family and partners in rescue, who must be wonderful people as well, to have steadfastly supported her and the
Our Mims Retirement Haven legacy—Bless you All✨🙏💜🐴💜🙏

I became aware of Our Mims Retirement Haven about 2 years ago. I purchased the One Day video and I fell in love with her love of Our Mims and her horses. My niece and I made a trip to Kentucky in the Spring of 2019 and we planned a visit to Our Mims after learning more about it and seeing it on Facebook. It was a rainy spring day but Jeanne met us and gave us the full tour in the rain. It did not dampen our love of the horses and Jeanne went into great detail explaining the works of the farm and the horses. It was a wonderful time that we will never forget. I watch on Facebook everyday. I was shocked with her passing as I was not aware of her long battle with Cancer.

My condolences go out to her family and friends and pray that Our Mims Retirement Haven will stay strong and be able to continue their wonderful work as Jeanne would want. Blessings to you all and Our Mims!
