Enjoy this rare opportunity to have your photo made with one of the lovely ladies of Our Mims Retirement Haven!

Our Mims Retirement Haven founder Jeanne Mirabito invites the public to come and have a photo taken with one of the retired mares living at the haven. Each of these incredible mares has a unique history. Our Mims Retirement Haven was founded in honor of the great race mare Our Mims, who ran under the colors of Calumet Farm. Mirabito founded the haven as a sanctuary for older Thoroughbred mares whose careers as broodmares have ended.

Jeanne invites you to come and get acquainted with her Ladies, and to commemorate the occasion with a special picture, taken by photographer Brady Smith.

The Ladies will all be dressed in their best for their sessions in front of the camera and encourage you to dress up as well!

Tickets for this event will be available for purchase exclusively at Producer Feeds in Paris, KY. A limited number of tickets is available, so act quickly. A portfolio containing pictures and biographies of each of The Ladies will be available for review. You can learn a little about each mare and then select The Lady you wish to be photographed with.

Producer Feeds and Our Mims Retirement Haven will also be sponsoring a “Princesses and Ponies” photo contest! Send us your best picture of yourself, or your princess and her favorite pony. We invite princesses and ponies of all ages to participate! Prizes will be given in 3 categories: Best Overall, Best Princess Costume, and Voter’s Choice.

A panel of 3 judges will select the Best Overall and Best Princess Costume winners. The Voter’s Choice will be selected by friends on Facebook. The photos will be posted for 1 week on Facebook, and the picture with the most votes will win. Each winner will receive a $75 gift certificate from Producer Feeds and a framed Mare-sterpiece painting by one of the mares of Our Mims.
