Our Mims Retirement Haven is proud to announce the arrival of Kat’s Fairy Tale on June 19, 2024, into our organization. Kat is a beautiful bay mare who just turned 22 years-old on April 3, 2002. She is sired by Tale of the Cat and out of the Woodman mare, Woodman’s Diplomat. Racing only 4 times, she earned $10,233 for her then-owner KatieRich Stables.
After leaving the race track, Kat’s Fairy Tale had 4 foals by sires: Medallist, Student Council, Aptitude and Offlee Wild. Three of her foals went on to race and her third foal (Wild Pantera) was the most successful, winning $234,168.
After being sold as a broodmare and changing hands a couple of times, Kat found her way back to original broodmare farm where she lived. Kat was donated by owners who love her dearly and want to see her live a life of luxury surrounded by the Haven’s other Ladies. Her former owner isn’t too far away and plans to visit her often.
