Every year at this time we go through a big change. The days are cooler and the ladies are able to stay outside in the sunshine. They still need their rest, though so we return to the Autumn/ Winter schedule.
Last night the ladies slept inside. I was pleased not to have to search the pasture for them this morning, in the dark. I probably won't be so pleased when I am cleaning their stalls and reminded just how much more work 10 hours in a stall is than the six hours they spend inside on summer days.
I think the ladies were pleased, too. Everyone at every bit of hay and every bite of food. They seemed so rested this morning.
Hmmm, rested ladies may get into more trouble. I better keep an eye on them today. Who knows WHAT they'll get into!
